JBS to Present Healthcare Data Exchange Solution at HIMSS 2015

April 13, 2015

JBS will demonstrate its Health Care Data Exchange solution within the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC’s) Technology Showcase at the 2015 Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition from April 12 to 16 in Chicago, IL.

Co-CEOs Gail Bassin and Jerri Shaw will attend the conference, and members of the JBS Senior Leadership team – Latif Khalil, Karen Bell, Dave Wanser, Anup Mathur, and Vijay Shah – will demonstrate the Health Care Data Exchange, a system designed for capturing structured data directly from electronic health records (EHRs) and routing it to authorized “destination systems” hosted by regulatory agencies, patient and disease registries, and public health organizations. The data routed through the JBS Data Exchange is guaranteed to be compatible with the destination system’s message and data format requirements.

“JBS’s solution is a valuable ‘last-mile’ connection to system repositories and registries where transformed data is immediately usable and actionable,” said Vice President of IT Solutions and Services Latif Khalil. “Our team has been engaged with ONC’s Structured Data Capture (SDC) initiative since its inception and has led the harmonization and development of the SDC standard.”

“This healthcare interoperability solution will highlight seamless health information exchange in multiple care settings,” said Co-CEO Jerri Shaw, “and it will show how standards-based solutions make all the difference in patient care and clinician workflow.”
