We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead, Web Solutions to join our technical team in support of a project to facilitate sharing of evidence-based information and resources among individuals, organizations, and networks working in HIV, viral hepatitis, STDs, and TB prevention, treatment, and support services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
¬∑ Work with the software and solution architects to design, implement, and document code modules according to the system architecture
¬∑ Create modules, configuration and content artifacts for WCMSs and LMSs, including Drupal, Moodle, WordPress, and others as required.
¬∑ Provide feedback and help maintain system design and architecture documentation
¬∑ Become familiar with relevant industry standard design patterns, engineering practices and security considerations
¬∑ Track work in issue management and version control systems according to established practices within the department or project, communicate up-to-date status and participate in the SDLC, including Agile ceremonies and processes
¬∑ Estimate and complete work in a timely and predictable manner
¬∑ Use debuggers, console outputs and system logs to efficiently diagnose system failures and bugs
¬∑ Strive for multi-disciplinary technical expertise and cross-cutting skills to quickly learn and apply new technologies as necessary for JBS's project and innovations
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:¬†Bachelor‚Äôs Degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline
¬∑ 3 years of experience as a web developer
¬∑ Has used version control software such as TFS and Git, and issue management tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
Education:¬†Master‚Äôs Degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline
¬∑ Deploying and/or consuming APIs and services technologies such as REST, SOAP.
¬∑ Using data access objects or ORM frameworks to communicate with databases like MSSQL, MySQL.
¬∑ Using test automation and TDD frameworks.
¬∑ Using CMSs such as Drupal and WordPress to create reliable, public-facing web applications at scale
¬∑ Using NoSQL technologies such as Document database, key-value stores and graph databases.
¬∑ Using client-side frameworks and technologies such as React, Angular and Bootstrap.
¬∑ Able to review design and code artifacts for organization, modularity, and sound practices.
¬∑ Able to communicate technical details effectively.
¬∑ Willingness to learn and apply whatever technology is necessary to fulfill the requirements of JBS and our customers.
¬∑ Uses Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and others as needed to produce design and architecture documentation, as well as planning and management documentation, to communicate complex topics to the team and our customers.
¬∑ Uses IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio, PHPStorm and WebStorm.
¬∑ Able to create software code that accurately and efficiently implements the system design.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an HHS Public Trust clearance.
Language:¬†English Fluency (oral and written)
