The Technical Lead, Web Solutions is responsible for management and delivery of technical and operational services, as well as serving as the primary liaison and consultant for CDC customers during the planning, execution, and successful completion of CDC projects. The Technical Lead, Web Solutions is expected to direct and oversee the integrated project management, engineering, development, and O&M teams to deliver projects and deliverables on time and within budget. The person is also expected to lead development of technical solutions and serve as the web solutions architect.
***This position will be based in Atlanta, Georgia***
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
¬∑ Take project and program ownership of a complex and large set of web applications and database applications and lead the JBS Team in maintaining the systems and in developing innovative IT solutions for a variety of customer problems covering unified data analysis and reporting, content management improvements, migration of solution from legacy to new technologies, etc.
¬∑ Develop and present technical solution papers, white papers, and technology options to the customer to seek consensus and buy-in.
¬∑ Manage the integrated Team resources consisting of programmers, developers, business analysts, content managers, and subject matter experts from JBS and other firms.
¬∑ Monitor project progress, deliverables, quality assurance, and customer service. Provide periodic status reports to client. Identify, manage, and mitigate risks that could impact timely project completion.
¬∑ Manage time and budget for the client, initiate actions to identify and resolve problems, and ensure goals are met.
¬∑ Coordinate and manage planning, development, testing, documentation, and deployment of technical deliverables and meet customer expectations on time and within budget
¬∑ Adjust resources as necessary to ensure project success and completion. Provide work direction and feedback to all team members and assist them in issue resolution.
¬∑ Provide guidance to team members on administrative and technical problems. Assist in staffing activities related to project.
¬∑ Develop new processes as necessary to ensure mission critical systems are completed; provide expertise in identifying appropriate methodologies for large-scale development efforts.
¬∑ Manage project communication using tools such as project portals, wikis, regular team meetings, and customer meetings to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the current state of the project.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
¬∑ BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering. MS or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
¬∑ PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent
¬∑ Minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience with successful delivery of at least 2 large IT solutions or Web Development projects.
¬∑ Past experience in successful delivery of mid to large Drupal 7/8 project.
¬∑ Strong background and familiarity with legacy, proprietary, open source, and new technologies ‚Äď.NET, DBMS (SQL Server, MySQL), Web Services, LAMP stack, social networking, mobile applications, etc.
¬∑ Ability to apply and use advanced technical knowledge in customer-focused, quality-oriented environment.
¬∑ Ability to clearly communicate complex issues and make oral presentations.
¬∑ Experience providing leadership to project teams and working with stakeholders of various backgrounds and levels within an organization.
¬∑ Demonstrated expertise with software development life cycle processes (SDLC/EPLC), stage-gates, and required artifacts
¬∑ Ability to apply and use advanced technical knowledge in customer focused, quality-oriented environment.
¬∑ Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
¬∑ Must be clearable at Public Trust
