JBS provides evaluation support training and technical assistance (T/TA) activities conducted by NCECHW.The Research Analyst will work under the supervision of the Project Director to implement the evaluation plan, questions, and instruments to assess the extent to which training and technical assistance provided by NCECHW promote positive changes in awareness, knowledge, and practices regarding child health and safety. The Research Analyst will respond to ad hoc requests for analysis in a timely fashion and play an active role in team efforts to continually refine procedures and analytic approaches to maintain methodological rigor while maximizing responsiveness to client information needs. The Research Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager for the ASAM contracts to provide day-to-day coordination of project activities. For the Research and Coordination Support for the Development of Clinical Decision Rules: Addiction Treatment in CJ Setting project activities will include overseeing the implementation the RAM implementation, including obtaining, documenting, and synthesizing information received from key stakeholders throughout the process. Similarly, for the ASAM Criteria Implementation Guide project, the Research Analyst will coordinate activities related to the development of the outline, tools/cases, and draft text. This position requires knowledge of behavioral health, evaluation methodology, and data analytic procedures.   

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

· Lead data-related tasks in SPSS including developing variable labels and codebooks for qualitative and quantitative data for study databases, cleaning and entering data, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. 

· Create online surveys using online survey platforms (e.g., SurveyMonkey). 

· Develop progress reports and other project documentation.  

· Prepare client-ready written materials (e.g., reports, PowerPoint presentations) and interface with client to communicate information clearly in a manner tailored to the intended audiences. 

· Coordinate project-related meetings including logistics (e.g., meeting invitations, agendas), attend meetings, and prepare meeting summaries.  

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: Master’s degree in social sciences, with knowledge of early childhood health and wellness, behavioral health, evaluation methodology, and data analytic procedures. 

Language: English fluency (oral and written) 

Experience: 3 years of research and evaluation experience.  

Knowledge: Knowledge of behavioral health, evaluation methodology, and data analytic procedures. 

Skills: Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis; ability to communicate with client both orally and in writing; ability to plan, organize and pay attention to detail; excellent time management skills; and ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. 

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in SPSS, MS-Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required. Experience using online survey platforms. 

Location: North Bethesda 

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

Experience: 5 years of research and evaluation experience preferred.
