Client: Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT)

JBS, an accredited continuing education provider, is developing online courses for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s CSAT. These courses are available through the Knowledge Application Program. The online courses provide substance abuse treatment professionals with continuing education units and professional growth. The Web-based system allows these courses to be completed at any time from the comfort, privacy, and convenience of one’s home or office. Counselors and treatment professionals may access courses according to their own schedule without a need for backup personnel or paying tuition fees. Existing products that are already available to the public have been adapted into the course content.

Client: Corporation for National and Community Service for State Service Commissions

Under the Technical Assistance to State Commissions (TASC) project, JBS designed and developed Web-based training modules for State Commissioners. These modules help Commissioners understand the significance of their work, how best to perform their work, and how they fit into the broader context of the Corporation for National and Community Service support for volunteerism. The training employs an avatar (digital personality) who guides users through each course.
