Global Outreach

JBS has worked in more than 110 countries. Our international work focuses on education and training, health, economic development, democracy and governance, and the environment. We live in a global economy, but it is people who drive JBS to reach out to communities all over the world to learn, to teach, and to share best practices—all with the aim of improving lives.

Our multicultural and multilingual staff, our in-country relationships, our expertise, and our Center of Excellence are important to our success and the work we do.

What We Do/Why We Do It: Spotlight on USAID: USAID funds three Centers of Excellence for Teacher Training to improve teacher training in Central and South America and the Caribbean. JBS evaluates training outcomes to assess changes in teaching practices. When we observe the transformations in the ways teachers think about themselves and their students, we know we are making a difference.
