JBS International Appoints Chief Strategy Officer

JBS International, Inc. announces the appointment of Jennifer Kasten, Ph.D. as Chief Strategy Officer.  In this new role, Dr. Kasten will develop and execute the strategy for positioning JBS in high-impact Government business development areas. 

Dr. Kasten has been a JBS Vice President for nearly four years and previously worked in other large Government contracting firms. Kasten joined JBS in 2009 as a Senior Researcher in the behavioral health practice and was promoted to Vice President in December 2012.

“Throughout her career at JBS, Jennifer has been a significant contributor in business development and strategic planning,” said co-founder and co-CEO Gail Bassin.  Kasten recently contributed to the Professional Service Council’s Vision Federal Market Forecast: Acquisition Outlook.

Kasten has more than 20 years of experience in public policy, program evaluation, change analyses, and performance measurement. Since 2010, she has directed JBS’s Clinical Technical Assistance contract with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Kasten received her Ph.D. in Public Administration from North Carolina State University and an MSW in Social Work from the University of South Carolina.
