North Bethesda, Maryland, September 18, 2008—The Gazette of Politics and Business released its first list of the top 53 businesses and organizations in the State of Maryland. JBS is proud and pleased to announce that it is one of the recipients. Selection criteria for the award included the company’s revenue and employee growth, product or service innovations, community service efforts, and how the companies portrays itself as “good places to work.”
JBS was recognized for its growth during the last three years and for its innovations in applying new procedures, best practices, and leading-edge technologies that help clients improve their operations and outcomes. JBS was also recognized for its involvement with community service programs including the Alcohol and Drug Problems Association of North America, American Heart Association, Population Media Center, New Endeavors for Women, My Sister’s Place, So Others Might Eat, among others. In addition, the firm plays an active role in the Professional Services Council, the national trade association of the government professional and technical services industry.
At the awards ceremony, David Edgerly, Director of Economic Development for the State of Maryland, said, “I applaud these exceptional Maryland businesses that are consistently on the leading edge of innovation and doing their part to help through their pro-active community service programs. We owe a lot to them for the job creation they generate, which helps keep Maryland at the top of the list of the best places to work in the country.”
