Standing Together: Honoring Service and Strengthening Systems
This Veterans Day, we honor the men and women who have served our nation—and those who continue to serve in new ways, as colleagues, partners, and community leaders. Veterans bring courage, discipline, and compassion to every mission, and those qualities now strengthen the systems that care for others.
Over time, a wide range of programs and services have worked to meet veterans’ needs—each vital in its own way. What’s emerging now is a more unified model, where those efforts connect through technology, shared data, and a common purpose: advancing the health and well-being of every veteran. Across the nation, and within the Veterans Health Administration, this evolution represents a powerful shift toward whole-person, veteran-centric care.
At JBS International, we are proud to stand beside this transformation. Many of our team members are veterans or family members of veterans whose lived expertise informs our work every day. Guided by experience, integrity, and
collaboration, we advance trauma-informed care, strengthen networks of support, and design solutions that honor the full spectrum of veteran well-being.
Veterans bring more than lived experience—they bring a service ethos. They model values like discipline, teamwork, and purpose that rise above job titles or professional silos. That ethos isn’t limited to any single project or contract; it shapes how JBS approaches all our work, across every client and scope. For many, service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off—it evolves. Today, we see that same commitment in colleagues like Dr. Jason Harris (pictured), and in countless veterans who continue to serve their communities in new ways, helping to strengthen systems of care and connection for others.
This legacy of continued service and shared purpose reflects what it means to stand together. Veterans remind us that collaboration and commitment—not just in uniform but across communities and systems—strengthen the networks that support our nation’s defenders. This Veterans Day, we honor all who have worn the uniform and the ongoing work to build systems worthy of their dedication.
